I've just come across this video from 2013, and it's pretty much everything I repeat to my friends about building ranking on their passion projects. Most will spend 50 boring affiliate marketing riddled ad campaigns spammed with 200k backlinks, and write their " SEO Help Blogs " on how to get to this point and Matt with Google.com blasts through it instantly.
